Which facial oils are good for my skin?

Facial Oils

There are so many facial products on the market that it’s hard to know which ones are best for your skin type. Myths such as, you only need oil if you have dry skin can make the process of knowing what your skin needs even more confusing. Acne conditions, dry skin, oily skin, seasonal weather changes, and lifestyle all affect which oil is appropriate for you. Anti aging skincare is important to all of us, and oils are essential to doing just that.

Using the right oils can help you achieve the most vibrant skin ever. Oils are a great source of oil-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, and K), fatty acids, and phospholipids, which increase anti aging affects. Essentially, they help maintain healthy skin tone, moisture, and elasticity.

How does Apricot kernel oil help dry skin?

This pale golden and odorless oil is suitable for all skin types. It has a light texture that absorbs easily. Sweet almond oil is a suitable substitute.

Which oil is great for anti aging and acne?

Argan oil  is the go-to oil for mature, damaged skin that needs anti aging properties. If you’re looking to slow down the clock, reach for this oil as it has a tendency to slow down wrinkle formation. Argan is also known for healing acne.

Is there an oil for healing skin that has endured radiation?

If you are young and are beginning to wonder why you never used sunscreen, then sea buckthorn is for you, helping to reverse damage from sun and even medical radiation. If you use it, be sure to combine it with other oils and remember that a little of this antioxidant rich oil goes a long way

Which oil is best for use at night?

Avocado oil is the only oil containing vitamin D, which helps the skin’s immune system and destroys free radicals. It is very occlusive so use only at night to hold serums in. It is ideal for postmenopausal and delicate skin.

Which oil helps acne, eczema and dehydration?

Evening primrose is one of my favorite oils for revitalization, restoring vitality to dull and lifeless skin and giving your elasticity a boost with the important fatty acids. This oil improves inflammatory conditions, like acne and eczema. It’s ideal for dehydrated skin and also gentle enough for daily use on the face. I use this oil for all dermaplane services.

Jojoba for acne

This oil is wonderful if you have oily, combination, or acne-prone skin. Jojoba helps clear up skin, doing away with clogged pores and maintaining a balanced pH. It has been clinically demonstrated to work wonders for inflamed skin conditions such as eczema. Remember- oil absorbs oil, so use this to help clear the bacteria laden oil that plagues acneic skin.

Best anti aging oil

If you’re searching for a serious skin remodeling ingredient, look no further than rose hip oil. The chief component, tretinoin (retinol), is responsible for anti aging properties, such as repairing tissue, healing scars, burns, and lightening hyperpigmentation. This oil is rich in linoleic acid and best for regeneration and healing. For a treatment that is loaded in rosehip oil, try the xo8 Stem Cell facial or purchase the xo8 Stem Cell serum for use at home.

Remember, if you’re using face oils, don’t forget to cleanse away excess.
Always use water based products serums before oils.
